Monogram Stationary
Even though letter writing in the way it used to be conducted has declined since the advent of email, there is still something very special about getting a letter in the mail. Maybe that is why when you do actually write a letter to someone that is physically delivered rather than sent digitally over the internet, its nice to really make that letter special. There is nothing like an elegant stationary that bears your monogram to accomplish that goal.
Stationary has always been a very nice gift to give to a friend. And when you add that special touch of giving stationary that is monogrammed, that batch of stationary and envelopes becomes a cherished resource to be used only for the best of communications. Of course, one of the most fun ways to use this kind of special gift is to give it to someone far away who you wish you would hear from more often. By giving special stationary with monograms in place on the paper or the envelopes, that gift will be stored somewhere special and it will be fun for that far away loved one to pull out that stationary and drop you a line.
It is probably best to also think about the quality, color and design of the stock that you are going to use for a special gift of stationary that has a monogram added to it. Spending a half hour at the office supply store will reveal that there are dozens of gorgeous stationary styles and designs out there. Many of the stationeries used for resume preparation are great for creating stationary with that monogrammed touch as well. Good stationary will cost more because of the higher quality stock and the colors and designs you can often find to put some creativity into your communications. But making your letters jump out and look special is a great goal and the investment is worth it.
How you get the monogram on the stationary is another decision to make because you have options. You can buy a monogram stamp and apply the monogram manually. The good of that choice is you can vary the ink color and how and where the monogram will go. You can use some creativity in applying the monogram as well putting it on slightly askew sometimes when the mood hits you. Plus a monogram stamp can be used on the envelope or any other way that you want so you get more flexibility with a stamp.
Of course, if you can transfer the monogram to the computer digitally, you can apply the monogram as you put the stationary through the printer. You can even turn the monogram into a watermark with is especially cool. If you find that you are having as much fun or maybe even more fun learning new ways to use monograms on your special stationary, that’s ok. It will only make you want to write more letters and everybody will like that.
